1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Kwata Team services ("Services"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Kwata Team, based in Alberta, Canada. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Kwata Team provides AI-powered business solutions including but not limited to:

  • Aya Career (career.kwatateam.com) — AI job search: resume ATS scoring, job matching, cover letter generation, interview prep, across multiple countries
  • Kwata Books (books.kwatateam.com) — AI bookkeeping for any business: receipt scanning, expense categorization, invoicing, profit & loss dashboard, the Lex AI tax advisor, and CRA reports (T2125, GST/HST) built in
  • Juris (juris.kwatateam.com) — AI case management for lawyers and law firms in any practice area: legal research with verified citations, deadline tracking, court-ready drafting, and a secure client portal
  • Free Consultations (kwatateam.com/book) — 30-minute strategy sessions on AI for your business
  • Coming Soon: AI Chatbots, AI Voice Agent, MySpot, Web Design

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of our Services
  • Upload malicious code or harmful content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

5. Payment Terms

For paid Services, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider (DodoPayments). Fees are charged in USD. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refund requests are handled case by case — contact support@kwatateam.com within 7 days of the charge.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services are owned by Kwata Team and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your data in accordance with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and other applicable privacy laws.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

Service discontinuation / wind-down. If we decide to permanently discontinue a service (in whole or in part), we will make reasonable efforts to give active subscribers at least thirty (30) days' notice by email before access ends, so you can export your data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kwata Team will not be liable to you or any third party for any loss, damage, business interruption, or other impact arising from the suspension or discontinuation of a service. In the event of permanent discontinuation, your sole and exclusive remedy is a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees covering the period after the service ends; we have no further obligation or liability to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kwata Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kwata Team and its people from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent notice on our website. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
